Ross arrived in Weatherfield hoping to build something he has never truly had before: a meaningful relationship with his son. While his growing connection with Tracy Barlow initially appeared to offer him a fresh start on the cobbles, upcoming Coronation Street scenes suggest romance is becoming secondary to a much bigger goal.

As tensions rise between Ross, Cassie Plummer and the wider Dobbs family, it becomes increasingly clear that Tyrone remains at the centre of Ross's plans. In fact, events soon push Ross towards a decision that could reshape several relationships on the Street.

At first glance, Tracy and Ross seem to be enjoying the excitement of a new romance. The pair spend time together and quickly develop a connection, despite concerns from those around them. However, not everyone believes the relationship is a good idea.

Cassie is particularly unhappy about what she sees unfolding. After discovering Tracy and Ross have become close, she wastes little time trying to convince Tracy that she is making a mistake. Her warnings fall on deaf ears, with Tracy showing little interest in listening to advice from her former rival.

While Tracy represents a potential new romance, Tyrone represents something much deeper. Ross has already made it clear that he wants to establish a genuine relationship with his son, and upcoming scenes show he is unwilling to give up on that ambition.

Even as problems begin to surround his relationship with Tracy, Ross continues trying to build bridges with Tyrone. It is a difficult task. Years of absence cannot simply be forgotten, and trust takes time to develop. Yet Ross remains determined to prove that he wants to be part of Tyrone's life.

As concerns about Ross continue to grow, Cassie becomes increasingly invested in stopping both the romance and his growing influence within the family. Matters become even more complicated when she spots Ross carrying a bouquet of flowers and quickly jumps to conclusions about what he is up to.

The discovery fuels further suspicion and creates fresh tension between Ross and Tracy. Before long, Ross finds himself having to explain his actions while also dealing with growing hostility from Cassie.

Rather than continuing to chase Tracy, Ross decides to take a step back from the romance. It is a notable moment because it reveals where his priorities truly lie. Instead of focusing on winning Tracy back, Ross turns his attention towards Tyrone and the relationship he has been trying to build from the beginning.

The decision does little to improve relations with Cassie, however. If anything, it makes matters worse. Ross becomes furious over her continued interference and blames her for the collapse of his relationship with Tracy.

At the same time, Tyrone starts noticing that something is not quite right. As questions are asked and secrets begin to emerge, he eventually discovers the extent of Cassie's involvement.

The fallout is dramatic. Tyrone is left so angry by what he learns that he throws Cassie out of the house. For someone who has spent months attempting to rebuild trust after previous mistakes, it is a devastating blow. Just when Cassie appeared to be making progress, she finds herself facing another major family crisis.

The consequences do not stop there. Following her expulsion, Cassie decides she can no longer keep certain secrets buried and resolves to tell Steve McDonald the truth.

Exactly what she intends to reveal remains under wraps, but the development suggests even more drama lies ahead.

Ross may have found himself distracted by Tracy, but his actions ultimately show that Tyrone remains his real priority. Whether that decision helps him win his son's trust remains to be seen, but it demonstrates that he is prepared to put family ahead of romance.

As tensions continue to escalate, the biggest question is no longer whether Ross and Tracy can make a relationship work. It is whether Ross and Tyrone can build the father-son bond they have both been missing for so many years.
