Coronation Street’s Jodie impersonates Shona in disturbing online scheme
Coronation Street’s Jodie creates a parenting forum account in Shona’s name as her lies continue to place the Platt family at risk.
Jodie begins another secretive scheme next week in Coronation Street when she creates a parenting forum account using Shona’s identity. The move comes as the Platts remain deeply unsettled by the discovery of the gun she had concealed inside her trinket box.
David and Shona are already trying to process Sarah’s allegation that Jodie attacked her at number 8. Sarah also tells David that Jodie was desperate to protect the trinket box, prompting further questions about what she has been hiding from the family.
Lily later discovers the box beneath the sofa and finds a firearm inside. When Jodie is confronted, she claims the weapon is fake, despite having taken a real gun from Kev’s garage.
Jodie attempts to rebuild David’s confidence after stepping in when a group of boys target Harry. Lily tells her father about the intervention, and David begins to consider whether Jodie deserves another chance.
However, Jodie’s private actions suggest that she has not abandoned her deception. Once she is alone, she opens her laptop and creates a new account on a parenting forum.
Jodie uses Shona’s name and presents herself as a first-time mother recovering from a traumatic birth. The false profile draws directly on Shona’s personal circumstances, allowing Jodie to make the account appear convincing while keeping her own identity hidden.
The purpose of the account has not yet been confirmed, but Jodie’s decision to impersonate her sister adds another serious concern for the family. She has already lied about the gun, while Sarah continues to insist that she cannot be trusted.
David may be starting to soften towards Jodie after hearing how she helped Harry, but he remains unaware that she is using Shona’s identity online. Jodie’s latest move leaves her carrying another secret that could destroy the fragile trust she has managed to regain.
