Coronation Street’s Asha and Sienna romance faces first major test as Nina makes theft accusation
Asha Alahan’s new romance with Sienna Milburn faces an immediate crisis when Nina Lucas accuses the paramedic of stealing her wages.
After spending time getting to know one another, Asha and Sienna finally arrange their first official date this week. Nina supports Asha as she prepares for the evening reassuring her nervous former girlfriend and encouraging her to embrace the possibility of finding happiness again.
Asha and Sienna’s first date goes well
This week on Corrie, Asha and Sienna return to the flat smiling after what appears to have been a successful evening. Nina and Amy are pleased to see Asha looking happy, and the atmosphere initially suggests the new relationship is heading in a positive direction.

The mood shifts when Sienna receives an unexpected phone call. Her manner abruptly changes and she announces that she must leave immediately, leaving Asha, Nina and Amy confused by her sudden exit.
Sienna later apologises to Asha and claims that she had to take her elderly aunt to bingo. Asha appears prepared to accept the explanation, but Nina remains unconvinced and begins questioning whether Sienna is hiding something.
Nina discovers her wages are missing
Sienna later returns to the flat, where Nina accidentally interrupts an intimate moment between her and Asha. Nina quickly apologises and leaves the couple alone, but a far more serious confrontation follows after Sienna has gone.

Nina discovers that an envelope containing her wages is missing. Convinced that Sienna must have taken the money, she shares her suspicions with a horrified Asha before confronting the newcomer directly.
Sienna strongly denies stealing anything and accuses Nina of behaving like a jealous former girlfriend. The accusation leaves Asha trapped between someone she has trusted for years and the woman with whom she has only just begun building a relationship.
Asha deserves the chance to be happy

The storyline immediately raises concerns that Asha could be heading towards another painful relationship. She has already endured considerable upset in her personal life, so introducing Sienna as another dishonest or dangerous character would risk cutting short a romance that has barely been given room to develop.
Nina’s missing wages and Sienna’s suspicious phone call appear damaging when considered together, but they may not be connected at all. Nina could have misplaced the envelope, another person may be responsible, or Sienna could be hiding something entirely unrelated to theft.
Could Sienna remain in Asha’s life?

Charlotte Tyree’s professional profile describes Sienna as a recurring Coronation Street role, suggesting her place on the show may last longer than a brief stint.
One possible direction would see Sienna cleared of the accusation before her relationship with Asha becomes more serious. Should the pair remain together, Sienna could eventually spend more time at the flat or even move in as their partnership develops.
That possibility becomes particularly interesting in light of Mollie Gallagher’s announced departure from the programme. Nina’s exit has not been connected publicly to Asha and Sienna’s relationship, but Sienna’s arrival could help establish the next chapter of Asha’s home and romantic life once Nina is no longer living alongside her.
This remains a theory rather than a confirmed direction. However, introducing a recurring love interest shortly before Nina’s departure naturally raises the possibility that Coronation Street is beginning to reshape Asha’s future.
For now, the immediate mystery concerns Nina’s missing wages and whether her suspicions are justified. Asha will have to decide whether to trust Nina’s instincts or give Sienna the opportunity to prove that she has been unfairly accused.
Whatever Sienna is hiding about the phone call, viewers will be hoping it does not bring another painful ending for Asha.
Her new relationship deserves an opportunity to develop beyond its difficult beginning, particularly if Sienna is intended to remain part of Weatherfield - and we hope she does!
