Coronation Street is finally preparing to reveal the truth behind one of Weatherfield’s biggest mysteries as Theo Silverton’s killer is unmasked during a dramatic dinner party that quickly descends into chaos.

The long running whodunnit reaches its climax when Kit Green gathers several key figures connected to the case under one roof. As accusations fly and old tensions explode, flashbacks begin to reveal exactly what happened on the night Theo died.

But before the truth is finally exposed, who are the leading suspects and what evidence points towards them?

Gary Windass

If there is one name that keeps appearing at the centre of the investigation, it is Gary Windass.

Recent scenes have shown Gary behaving increasingly suspiciously, with Sarah Platt appearing determined to protect him. Maria Connor’s growing concerns reach breaking point when she publicly accuses Sarah and Gary of having an affair during Kit’s disastrous dinner party.

However, Maria’s suspicions go far beyond a possible romance.

Flashbacks reveal she has become convinced the pair are hiding something. The biggest piece of evidence comes from scenes showing Gary wiping blood from a scaffold pole while standing over Theo.

That image alone has placed Gary near the top of many viewers’ suspect lists.

As the pressure increases, Gary later tells Todd Grimshaw that Kit is trying to frame him for the murder. Whether Gary is genuinely innocent or desperately trying to protect himself remains unclear.

Sarah Platt

Sarah may not have a clear motive for killing Theo, but her behaviour has certainly attracted attention.

She repeatedly finds herself linked to Gary throughout the investigation and appears to know more than she is willing to admit. Their private conversations and united front have fuelled speculation that they could be covering up crucial information.

Todd becomes increasingly suspicious of Sarah and begins questioning whether she and Gary have been working together ever since Theo’s death.

The fact that Sarah immediately tells Gary that he is being framed only adds another layer to the mystery.

Even if she is not the killer, Sarah could still hold important answers.

Todd Grimshaw

Todd has perhaps the strongest motive of anyone connected to the case.

Theo subjected him to controlling and abusive behaviour, leaving Todd emotionally devastated. Their relationship became increasingly toxic, and Theo’s actions had a lasting impact on Todd’s life.

An accidental selfie also raised questions about Todd’s movements on the night of the murder, creating uncertainty about where he was and what he was doing.

While motive alone does not prove guilt, Todd remains one of the most obvious suspects.

Soap history has shown that the person with the clearest reason for revenge is often the first name viewers consider.

Carl Webster

Carl Webster’s possible motive centres around revenge.

Before Theo’s death, Carl overheard him admitting responsibility for Billy Mayhew’s death in the Corriedale crash. Learning that information could have pushed Carl towards a confrontation.

The theory is simple. Did Carl decide that Theo deserved to pay for what he had done?

Although Carl later found himself in hospital following his own violent encounter, that does not completely remove him from suspicion.

His knowledge of Theo’s confession continues to make him an important suspect.

Kit Green

As the investigating detective, Kit would appear to be one of the least likely candidates.

However, soap dramas often enjoy surprising audiences, and this would be the ultimate shock!

Kit spends the week gathering Sarah, Gary, Maria, Todd and Summer together for a carefully planned dinner party. Officially, he is searching for answers. Unofficially, he appears to be testing reactions and pushing suspects into revealing themselves.

There is no direct evidence linking Kit to the murder, but his central role in the investigation means viewers cannot completely rule him out until the truth is revealed.

George Shuttleworth And Christina Boyd

George and Christina have become popular outsider suspects.

Both were aware of Theo’s treatment of Todd and had every reason to want to protect their friend from further harm.

George attracted attention after blood was found on his sleeve the morning after Theo’s death. Meanwhile, Christina has been seen making frantic phone calls and behaving nervously.

Neither piece of evidence proves involvement, but both raise questions.

Could they have taken matters into their own hands after seeing what Theo had put Todd through?

Danielle Silverton

Theo’s former wife also remains under suspicion.

Danielle understood Theo’s darker side better than most. She knew how volatile he could be and had experienced his behaviour firsthand.

Questions remain about her whereabouts on the night of the murder and whether she was entirely truthful about her movements.

With emotions running high and old wounds still present, Danielle cannot be ruled out.

Brody Michaelis

Brody’s name continues to surface because of one key piece of evidence.

His fingerprints were discovered on Todd’s stolen phone, which later ended up in Theo’s possession when he died.

That connection could be entirely innocent, but it links Brody directly to an important item in the investigation.

As the son of Kit Green, his involvement would also create a dramatic twist!

Miles And Millie

Theo’s children complete the suspect list.

Their relationship with their father was far from perfect, and family tensions were never far from the surface.

While there is currently less evidence against them than some of the other suspects, soap history has often shown that family secrets can have deadly consequences.

They remain outsiders, but they cannot be dismissed entirely - Can they?

Who Is Most Likely To Have Killed Theo?

Based on the evidence shown so far, Gary Windass appears to have the strongest case against him. The blood stained scaffold pole, Sarah’s apparent attempts to protect him and Kit’s growing suspicions have all pushed him towards the top of the suspect list.

Todd’s motive keeps him firmly in contention, while Sarah’s behaviour continues to raise questions. Carl, George, Christina, Danielle and Brody all have potential links to the crime, but fewer pieces of evidence currently point in their direction.

With flashbacks finally set to reveal what really happened on the night Theo died, Coronation Street is about to answer the question that has dominated Weatherfield for weeks.

The killer is about to be revealed.

Who do you think did it?
