Coronation Street Spoilers 7–11 September: Doug Returns and Kit Struggles

Coronation Street has several significant developments ahead as Jodie Ramsey hears something she was never meant to, Doug Ramsey reappears in his daughters’ lives and Kit Green faces an emotional few days. Debbie Webster also takes centre stage as she reflects on the support she has received from those closest to her.

Debbie is surrounded by family and friends when she decides to tell them just how much their support has meant.

Ronnie Bailey is singled out for a particularly emotional tribute, with Debbie making her feelings for him clear

Kit’s difficult week begins when he wakes on the sofa as someone quietly slips out of the flat. Seeing a photograph of Sarah leaves him overcome with guilt, before his emotions later spill over at Debbie’s birthday celebrations.

Jodie later takes a major risk when she lets herself into Sarah’s flat and starts searching around.

Her snooping is interrupted when Kit and Bethany arrive unexpectedly, forcing her to quickly find somewhere to hide before either of them realises she is there.

Remaining out of sight gives Jodie an opportunity to hear their conversation

Whatever she learns has a powerful effect on her, opening up a new question over exactly what Kit and Bethany have been discussing and what Jodie will do with the information.

Kit later has another uncomfortable encounter when he accidentally bumps into Ross in the pub and sends his drinks spilling.

Kit reacts with obvious pain and grabs his chest, but Ross is unsympathetic and suggests he is making too much of the incident, prompting an angry response from Kit.

Jodie’s week becomes even more complicated when Bethany arrives at No.8 intending to confront her.

Their dispute is interrupted by the unexpected appearance of Doug Ramsey, immediately shifting attention towards a much bigger family issue.

Played by Steve Evets, Doug was first seen earlier in February 2026 when viewers met him in hospital.

He is Shona and Jodie’s father, and his arrival now brings him directly back into both of their lives.

Shona is stunned to find herself face to face with her dad again.

Doug tells her that he is taking his medication, believes his bipolar disorder is under control and wants an opportunity to repair the relationship between them.

Whether Shona is ready to rebuild that connection remains uncertain.

Jodie is also wary of her dad’s presence and makes it clear she does not want him disrupting the family, while Doug becomes concerned after noticing the way Jodie looks at David.

Elsewhere, Lucy Parkinson continues to test Sally Metcalfe’s patience through her actions involving Shanice Michaelis.

Lucy gives Shanice money to buy sweets from the Kabin and encourages her to go alone, despite Shanice knowing she is not normally allowed out by herself.

Brian Packham later returns with Shanice and explains what has happened, leading Sally to suspect Lucy was responsible for sending her.

Sally appears right to be concerned, as Lucy has not finished yet and clearly has something further planned.

Elsewhere, Carla helps Betsy apply for a local fashion course after health issues derailed her London plans, while Lisa is thrilled to see her daughter excited about the future again. However whilst having a manicure she suffers an extreme pain in her head leaves Betsy fearing she might have another stroke.

With Doug back in Weatherfield, Jodie sitting on unexpected information and Kit struggling through an emotional week, there is plenty still to unfold across the cobbles.
