Shona and Jodie’s feud reaches breaking point in Coronation Street, with devastating secrets exposed during a confrontation at No.8. Lives are left hanging in the balance, and David later calls the emergency services to report that someone has been shot.
The build-up begins with Jodie contacting Doug’s doctor to claim that he poses a danger to the family. When a mental health team arrives to assess him, Shona is tearful and apologetic.
Doug has a warning for her as he is led away. He tells Shona to watch her back where Jodie is concerned, but it is a discovery involving Lily’s phone that next sends tensions soaring.
At a party, the phone is plugged into a docking station and a recording of Harper crying begins to play. Shona is furious, accusing Lily of recording the baby in an attempt to make her believe she was losing her mind.
Lily insists she has no idea how the recording got there. David tries to contain Shona’s anger, but an upset Lily flees the party.
Later, accusations fly between Shona and Jodie as their confrontation pushes one of them to their limit. Following David’s call about the shooting, Asha arrives with the paramedics and a firearms officer also attends.
At the station, Lisa is busy writing up her notes when Kit arrives. She challenges him about not answering his calls, only to be stunned when he reveals that he has cancer. Lisa responds by promising that both she and the force will support him however they can.
Sam, meanwhile, is offered a chance to work at Speed Daal because Leanne wants to show how much she trusts him. After spotting Idris’s credit card on a table, he is later caught preparing to enter its details into a crypto app, used for digital currencies.
Idris takes the card back, and an embarrassed Sam explains himself. He hoped to make enough to repay Idris and settle his debt to Nick.
Elsewhere, Sally has her own reason for concern when she visits the café. She discovers Lucy bunking off school and enjoying a drink with Christina, much to her disapproval.
