Coronation Street spoilers 5 to 9 October as Shona accuses Lily over cruel recording
Lily denies recording Harper’s cries as Shona lashes out. Doug issues a warning, Lisa backs Kit and David makes an emergency call.
Lily faces a distressing accusation in Coronation Street when a recording of Harper crying plays from her phone. Shona believes she has found an explanation for what she has been hearing, but Lily insists she knows nothing about it.
The discovery happens at a party when Lily’s phone is plugged into a docking station. As the sound fills the room, Shona turns on her, accusing her of deliberately recording Harper to make her question her own mind.
David tries to contain Shona’s fury as Lily struggles to defend herself. Upset and adamant that she cannot explain how the recording reached her phone, Lily runs from the party.
The confrontation follows a warning from Doug, whose doctor has been contacted by Jodie. After Jodie claims he is a danger to the family, a mental health team arrives to assess him.
Shona tearfully apologises as Doug is led away. Before leaving, he tells her to be careful around Jodie, placing the focus firmly on the person he believes she should be watching.
Shona and Jodie later clash at No.8 in a showdown involving accusations and devastating secrets. One of them is pushed to their limit, with lives hanging in the balance.
In later scenes, David calls for an ambulance and reports that someone has been shot. Asha arrives with the paramedics, and a firearms officer also attends.
Away from the Platts, Lisa learns about Kit’s cancer when he visits the station. Having initially challenged him about unanswered calls, she promises that she and the force will give him whatever support they can.
Sam also has an explanation to make after Idris finds him about to put his card details into a crypto app, used for digital currencies. Leanne has offered Sam work at Speed Daal to show she trusts him, but he spots the card there and later attempts to use it.
Idris retrieves it, leaving Sam to admit he hoped to repay him and clear his debt to Nick with the money he made. Meanwhile, Sally finds Lucy missing school to have a drink with Christina in the café and is far from impressed.
