Coronation Street spoilers 5 to 9 October as Sam is caught with Idris’s bank card
Sam admits his plan to repay his debts, while Shona confronts Lily, Lisa learns Kit has cancer and a shooting brings paramedics to the Platts.
Sam’s money worries lead him into an awkward confrontation in Coronation Street when Idris catches him with his credit card. While Sam tries to explain himself, the Platts face a far more dangerous crisis and Lisa receives difficult news from Kit.
Leanne makes a point of showing Sam she trusts him when he calls at Speed Daal after school. She offers him work in the restaurant, where he notices Idris’s credit card lying on a table.
In later scenes, Sam sits down and prepares to enter the card details into a crypto app, used for digital currencies. Before he can do so, Idris appears behind him and retrieves his card.
Sam is deeply embarrassed at being caught. He admits he was hoping to make enough money to repay Idris and clear his debt to Nick.
Elsewhere, Sally is unimpressed when she calls at the café and finds Lucy skipping school. Lucy is enjoying a drink with Christina when Sally arrives.
At the Platts’, Jodie calls Doug’s doctor and claims he is a danger to the family. A mental health team arrives to assess him, while a tearful Shona apologises as he is led away.
Doug warns Shona to watch her back around Jodie, but another confrontation soon takes over. When Lily’s phone is connected to a docking station at a party, a recording of Harper crying rings out.
Shona furiously accuses Lily of trying to make her believe she was losing her mind. David attempts to contain her anger, while Lily denies any knowledge of the recording and runs from the party upset.
Later, Shona and Jodie’s feud erupts at No.8, with accusations and devastating secrets leaving lives hanging in the balance. David subsequently calls an ambulance to report a shooting, bringing Asha, fellow paramedics and a firearms officer to the scene.
Meanwhile, Lisa confronts Kit at the station over his unanswered calls before he tells her he has cancer. Stunned, she promises that he will have support from both her and the force.
