Coronation Street spoilers 5 to 9 October as Doug warns Shona about Jodie
Jodie calls Doug’s doctor before a recording sparks fury in the Platt household. Plus, a shooting, Kit’s confession and Sam’s risky money plan.
Doug delivers a warning about Jodie in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, but Shona soon finds herself accusing somebody else. A recording of Harper crying puts Lily at the centre of a family confrontation before a showdown at No.8 leaves lives hanging in the balance.
Jodie sets events in motion by calling Doug’s doctor and describing him as a danger to the family. When a mental health team arrives to assess him, Shona is tearful and tells him how sorry she is.
As Doug is led away, he urges Shona to watch her back where Jodie is concerned. His warning comes before the discovery of a recording that leaves Shona furious.
During a party, Lily’s phone is plugged into a docking station and Harper’s crying suddenly plays out. Shona immediately accuses Lily of recording the baby to make her believe she was losing her mind.
David does his best to calm the confrontation, but Lily is distraught by the accusation. She insists she knows nothing about the recording and flees the party.
Later, Shona and Jodie’s feud reaches breaking point inside No.8. Secrets are exposed and accusations fly before David calls an ambulance to report that someone has been shot. Asha is among the paramedics who attend, with a firearms officer also arriving.
Elsewhere, Kit finds Lisa busy typing up notes at the station. She confronts him about failing to answer his calls, but the conversation takes a very different direction when he tells her he has cancer. Lisa promises him support from both herself and the force.
At Speed Daal, Leanne offers Sam a job as a sign of her trust, only for him to spot Idris’s credit card. In later scenes, Idris catches him about to enter the details into a crypto app, used for digital currencies, and takes the card back.
Embarrassed, Sam explains that he wanted to earn enough to repay Idris and settle what he owes Nick. Meanwhile, Sally is unimpressed to discover Lucy bunking off school and enjoying a drink with Christina at the café.
