Coronation Street brings arrests, guilt, relationship drama and family trouble from 24–28 August. Ollie faces serious consequences after stepping into a confrontation, Tim struggles with the past, and Sarah takes drastic action as tensions rise.

1. Tim struggles with Rachel’s murder

Tim admits he feels guilty over the murder of Lucy’s mum Rachel. His confession brings the past back to the surface at the same time as Lucy’s current living arrangements come under closer scrutiny.

2. Ollie and Ben go head to head

Ollie and Ben compete against each other during an intense craft beer event. The rivalry gives Ollie plenty to focus on before his week takes a much more serious turn.

3. Maggie and Brian spend the night together

Maggie and Brian unexpectedly spend a night together, bringing a surprise development for the pair. Their encounter adds some lighter relationship drama amid a much more turbulent few days elsewhere on the cobbles.

4. Christina’s drinking sparks trouble

Christina gets drunk, and teenager Jake responds by throwing water over her. The situation quickly escalates and ultimately draws Ollie into the confrontation.

5. Lucy secretly contacts her dad

Lucy makes a secret phone call to her imprisoned father. During the conversation, he reminds her of their story, placing fresh focus on Lucy’s past and her current life with Sally and Tim.

6. Ollie is arrested for assault

Ollie pushes Jake off Christina and is arrested for assault. The consequences soon become even more serious when it emerges that Ollie could be facing prison.

7. Sarah creates a makeshift weapon

Sarah takes drastic action by making a weapon from snooker balls placed inside a sock. Her alarming move becomes one of the most dramatic developments of the week.

8. Lucy faces questions about Sally and Tim

A social worker asks Lucy whether she is happy living with Sally and Tim. The question comes after Lucy’s secret contact with her dad and puts her home situation firmly under the spotlight.

9. Bernie opens up about family history

Celeste arrives and is revealed to be Bernie’s aunt. Later, Bernie talks about a past rift between her mum and Celeste, offering some background to the family connection without dominating the week’s bigger stories.

10. George decides what happens next

George returns after having time to think and tells Christina what he has decided about their relationship. Meanwhile, Jake is left feeling guilty when he hears that Ollie may be facing prison following their earlier confrontation.
