Coronation Street Lily Makes Emotional Move After Lucy Clash
Lily reaches out to Lucy with an emotional apology after their rocky start, revealing why she understands more about her grief than Lucy may realise.
Lily Platt makes a heartfelt attempt to repair her relationship with Lucy in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, after the pair’s difficult start threatens to keep them at odds.
Lucy has been struggling following the death of her mum and the imprisonment of her dad Ritchie, with her arrival in Weatherfield understandably bringing anger and upset. Her relationship with Lily has already become strained, but Lily now decides she does not want their hostility to continue.
Trying to make amends, Lily draws on her own experience of losing her mum when she was young. She explains that she understands something of what Lucy is going through, giving the pair an unexpectedly personal connection despite everything that has happened between them.
Lily also writes Lucy a letter of apology, while Sally and Shona encourage the girls to talk through their differences. It is a significant change after their rocky beginning and could finally give Lucy someone closer to her own age who understands part of the grief she is carrying.
Lucy remains deeply affected by recent events, so rebuilding their relationship may not happen immediately. However, Lily’s decision to reach out rather than continue fighting could mark the beginning of a very different relationship between the two girls.
