Kit Green faces an emotional dilemma in upcoming Coronation Street scenes as Bernie waits for important news while her son continues hiding the truth about his own health.
Kit has already been diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer, which has spread to his lymph nodes, but has struggled to tell those closest to him what he is facing. As Bernie prepares to receive the result of her genetic test, Kit accompanies his mum while keeping his own diagnosis to himself.
Bernie remains hopeful that her result will be negative, putting Kit in an increasingly difficult position. While she waits to discover what the test means for her, he already knows that cancer has become a devastating reality in his own life.

There is also the question of how Bernie would react if she discovered Kit had been facing his diagnosis without her support. Despite Kit's reasons for staying quiet, his mum would undoubtedly want to be there for him during such a frightening period.
Kit cannot keep his diagnosis hidden forever, and the strain of trying to carry on as normal is becoming increasingly difficult to disguise. With Bernie now facing an important moment of her own, their shared experience could finally bring the truth closer to coming out.
