Coronation Street: Jodie Ramsay’s Kit Green Plan Could Be Her Most Dangerous Move Yet

Jodie’s decision to move closer to Kit after his separation from Sarah may prove to be one of her riskiest moves yet. She sees him at an emotionally vulnerable moment, but targeting a detective could bring far more scrutiny than she expects.

Kit is devastated because Sarah has ended their relationship to protect his career, not because their feelings have disappeared. Jodie may believe the split has created an opening, although Kit remains emotionally committed to Sarah and connected to her family.

Offering comfort allows Jodie to approach him without immediately revealing romantic intentions. She can listen to his pain, reassure him that Sarah has made her choice and gradually encourage him to rely on her.

The problem is that Kit is trained to notice inconsistencies and question people’s motives. His grief may temporarily distract him, but becoming part of his life also places Jodie closer to someone capable of uncovering the truth about her behaviour.

Jodie’s previous actions have already raised serious doubts about what she wants and how far she is prepared to go. Attempting to build a relationship with Kit could give her access to information, but it could also expose her to questions she would rather avoid.

Her interest may initially appear to be romantic, particularly as she attempts to comfort him while he is newly single. However, the possibility that she sees professional value in becoming close to a detective cannot be dismissed.

Kit’s responsibilities surrounding Harry also create another opening. He is overwhelmed, inexperienced and struggling to care for a child whose anger is growing, meaning practical help could seem extremely attractive.

Jodie could present herself as someone willing to support both Kit and Harry. That would allow her to become part of their home life without waiting for Kit to accept a new relationship.

Such involvement would be deeply concerning because Harry needs stability rather than another adult whose motives remain unclear. His distress should never become a route for Jodie to gain Kit’s trust.

Sarah is unable to challenge Jodie while inside prison. She has ended the relationship in the belief that she is giving Kit freedom, but she may not have anticipated how quickly Jodie would attempt to occupy the place she has left.

The situation could eventually force Kit to choose between the comfort Jodie offers and the instincts telling him that something is wrong. His emotional vulnerability may delay that realisation, although it is unlikely to silence his suspicions forever.

Jodie also risks underestimating how deeply Kit still loves Sarah. He may accept conversation and support without ever viewing her as a possible replacement, leaving Jodie frustrated if her efforts fail to produce the response she expects.

That frustration could lead her to become more reckless. If subtle encouragement does not work, she may attempt to weaken Kit’s faith in Sarah or suggest that remaining loyal to her will only damage his future.

Doing so could expose the selfishness behind her concern. Genuine support would allow Kit to make his own decisions, while manipulation would require pushing him towards the outcome Jodie wants.

The closer Jodie becomes to Kit, the greater the chance that he will see through her. She may believe she is taking advantage of his heartbreak, but she could instead be placing herself directly under the attention of the person most capable of revealing her secrets.
