Coronation Street Carl hides fears as Debbie's confusion worsens

Carl faces another upsetting moment with Debbie in Coronation Street as he realises her confusion is becoming harder to ignore.

Coming up, Carl remains caught up in the investigation into Eva's attack after being questioned by police. He insists he had nothing to do with what happened, but suspicions around him have already placed the family under considerable pressure.

Carl later tries to discuss everything with Debbie, expecting her to understand what he has been dealing with. Instead, it becomes clear that she cannot follow what he is talking about, leaving him confronted by a very different worry.

Rather than showing Debbie how concerned he is, Carl tries to hide his reaction. Her dementia has already caused frightening periods of confusion, and this latest moment gives him another painful reminder of how quickly things can change.

Carl has his own problems to deal with as questions continue over Eva, but Debbie's condition suddenly becomes far more important. The conversation leaves him trying to protect his mum while privately struggling with what he has just witnessed.

Coronation Street continues on ITV1, with episodes also available on ITVX. Image credit: ITV.
