Coronation Street Bethany and Ryan reunion gathers pace
Bethany agrees to a date with Ryan as she tries to move beyond her night with Kit, but their previous romance could make this more than a distraction.
Bethany and Ryan could be heading towards another Coronation Street romance as their previous connection begins developing again.
Upcoming scenes see Bethany trying to put her night with Kit behind her. Both of them regret what happened, particularly because of Kit’s history with Sarah, but remaining around each other makes pretending it never happened increasingly difficult.
Bethany later visits Sarah in prison and tells her that Kit has started seeing other people. The conversation helps Bethany deal with some of her own guilt, although Sarah returning to Weatherfield could eventually make the secret considerably more complicated.
Ryan then becomes an important part of Bethany’s attempt to move forward. Bethany and Ryan already have romantic history, and their renewed connection is not presented as entirely one-sided. Following flirtatious messages between them, Bethany agrees to go on a date.
That raises the possibility that Weatherfield could see the former couple properly revisit their relationship.
Ryan is not simply being used to make Kit jealous either. Bethany genuinely likes him, while Kit is himself trying to move beyond what happened between them.
Their previous fling never became something more permanent, but the circumstances are very different now. With both Bethany and Ryan finding themselves drawn back together, their next date could potentially lead somewhere much more serious.
