Body Movements 2026 Brings Queer Club Culture to Southwark Park
Body Movements returns to London with Romy, Horse Meat Disco, House Gospel Choir and a huge celebration of queer and trans club culture.
London’s queer club culture is getting a major outdoor celebration as Body Movements returns to Southwark Park on Sunday 30 August. Running from midday until around 10.30pm, the festival brings LGBTQ+ electronic music, performance and community together for one of the capital’s biggest queer music events of the summer.
The 2026 line up stretches across an impressive mix of established names and emerging talent. Romy joins Horse Meat Disco, House Gospel Choir, Eris Drew and Octo Octa, BASHKKA, Roza Terenzi, GIDEÖN, Hannah Holland, MCR T, Amaliah, FAFF, Saoirse and Shanti Celeste among dozens of performers.
Some of queer nightlife’s best known collectives are involved too, including Dalston Superstore, Adonis, Daytimers, INFERNO, Fèmmme Fraîche, House of Revlon, Little Gay Brother and Queer House Party. Jay Jay Revlon is also bringing a Vogue Masterclass, while dancers from Little Gay Brother and the Fancy A Mooch Queer Market add even more to the day beyond the DJ sets.
Body Movements began as a DIY queer gathering spread across 15 spaces in Hackney Wick. Its move into Southwark Park has allowed the event to grow considerably while keeping queer and trans music, self expression and community at its centre.
There is also a strong community focus behind the party. Every ticket includes a donation to the Body Movements Community Fund, which has raised more than £53,000 so far for causes including London Trans+ Pride, Stonewall Housing and Gendered Intelligence.
The festival has also created different routes to make attendance more accessible. Low income and unemployed community tickets can be applied for, alongside student and discounted NHS tickets, while local residents can access dedicated ticket options. A Pay It Forward scheme allows festivalgoers to help fund another person’s attendance too.
Accessibility provisions include step free entry to the festival site, with organisers encouraging anyone with individual access or medical requirements to contact the team directly before attending.
Resident Advisor lists the festival as an 18+ event, with current ticket options ranging from £27.50 to £75. Organisers are now advertising the remaining allocation as the final ticket release and say they expect the festival to sell out in advance.
From its grassroots beginnings to thousands of people gathering in one of London’s major parks, Body Movements has grown without losing the idea that started it: giving queer and trans communities space to meet, dance, discover music and celebrate themselves together.
