Home and Away double date turns awkward as Justin loses patience
David and Amelia's double date with Justin and Leah takes an awkward turn in Home and Away as tensions over Richie finally come to a head.
A romantic evening takes an unexpected turn in Home and Away next week when David and Amelia enjoy a double date with Justin and Leah, only for an innocent dinner invitation to expose growing tensions at home.
The evening comes after David and Amelia finally begin opening up about their past relationships, although their attempts to enjoy some time together bring them into the middle of Justin's frustrations with Richie.
David and Amelia move forward
David has been struggling with memories of his late wife, Kristina, after a conversation with Gary about Eden's condition brings back painful feelings.
His grief initially causes problems with Amelia when he abruptly cancels their plans without explaining why, leaving her confused and upset.
However, David eventually admits what has been troubling him, and Amelia reassures him that she has never expected to replace Kristina or compete with his memories.
The couple agree to communicate more openly about their past experiences and arrange a double date with Justin and Leah.
Justin's dinner invitation causes tension
The evening starts positively, with both couples enjoying one another's company and agreeing that previous romances are best left in the past.
However, Justin inadvertently creates an awkward situation when he suggests inviting David and Amelia to dinner at his and Leah's home.
Knowing Richie is still living there, David attempts to move the conversation along by suggesting they visit his home instead.
The exchange reminds Justin how frustrated he has become about their houseguest, particularly when he discovers Leah has arranged to invite Richie's Bronze Medallion classmates over following their graduation.
Justin cannot understand why Richie should be entertaining friends when they are struggling to invite their own guests into the house.
His patience finally runs out, and he insists Richie must find paid employment or move out, leaving Leah caught in the middle of another uncomfortable domestic disagreement.
