Sebastian Croft's Celebrity Traitors charity Choose Love 'deeply grateful' for £41,500 win
Choose Love, the refugee charity Sebastian Croft played for, has thanked the Heartstopper star after his Celebrity Traitors victory with Romesh Ranganathan sent £41,500 its way.
Sebastian Croft's Celebrity Traitors win is already making a difference away from the castle, as the charity he played for has spoken publicly about what the money means.
The Heartstopper actor and comedian Romesh Ranganathan were crowned joint winners in Friday night's final on BBC One, having reached the end of the game as Faithfuls. Their success meant the £83,000 prize pot was split equally between their chosen causes, with £41,500 going to each.
Croft played for Choose Love, the humanitarian organisation previously known as Help Refugees, which supports refugees and people who have been forced from their homes. Ranganathan's share goes to the Refugee Council, so both halves of the pot will go towards supporting refugees.
Choose Love has now thanked Croft for his choice. Emma Stevenson, the charity's acting chief executive, said: "We are absolutely thrilled and deeply grateful to Bash for choosing Choose Love as his designated charity following his incredible win on Celebrity Traitors."

The statement arrived as viewers were still digesting a tense finale. Croft and Ranganathan held their nerve through the final as the remaining Traitors, Maya Jama and King Kenny, were both banished. Speaking to Ranganathan as the result sank in, Croft said: "I began this game as a Faithful, but I'm ending this game as a Faithful." He later called it "just incredible", adding: "This might actually be the best day of my life."
For viewers who followed his journey, the charity's response gives the win a warm postscript. The Traitors format has always asked its celebrity players to compete for a good cause rather than for themselves, and a five-figure sum is a significant boost for any organisation working with refugees. Anyone moved by the outcome can find out more about Choose Love, and donate directly, through the charity's own website.

With the second celebrity series now over, the focus shifts to how both charities put the money to work, and any update on that will be worth watching for. In the meantime, the whole series, final included, is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
