Big Gay Cruise 2026 Sets Sail for Eight Nights Across the Caribbean

Big Gay Cruise is preparing for an eight night Caribbean sailing this September, bringing LGBT passengers together aboard Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas.

The cruise departs Port Canaveral, Florida, on 18 September 2026 and follows an Eastern Caribbean itinerary visiting St Croix, St Thomas, San Juan and Perfect Day at CocoCay before returning to Florida.

Big Gay Cruise operates as a group within the wider Royal Caribbean sailing, with dedicated events and activities available to passengers travelling as part of the group. The September departure is one of several LGBT group sailings already listed across 2026, 2027 and 2028.

A dedicated event is also planned at Sand Castle on the Beach when Adventure of the Seas reaches St Croix, giving passengers another group experience away from the ship.

Where to stay before sailing

Passengers flying into Florida from the UK will usually need accommodation before embarkation, particularly when arriving the day before the cruise.

Big Gay Cruise currently lists a preferred group rate at the Residence Inn by Marriott Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach for stays immediately before the September sailing. Staying close to Port Canaveral also reduces the need for a long transfer on embarkation morning.

Travellers wanting more time in Florida could instead add a few nights in Orlando or along the coast before heading to the port.

Getting there

Port Canaveral is on Florida’s Atlantic coast, east of Orlando. International visitors can fly into Orlando before travelling onwards to the cruise terminal by transfer, taxi or hire car.

The cruise then takes care of the rest of the journey, with four Caribbean stops included across the eight nights. St Croix and St Thomas bring beaches and island scenery, San Juan adds history, restaurants and nightlife, while CocoCay offers Royal Caribbean’s private island experience.

Big Gay Cruise already has further departures planned from Galveston, Miami and Fort Lauderdale, giving travellers who cannot make September several future options to consider.
