Why Does Kit Collapse in Coronation Street Next Week as His Cancer Battle Continues?

Kit Green suffers a frightening health setback in Coronation Street next week when Sarah finds him collapsed outside the tram station, raising fresh concerns about his condition as he undergoes treatment for breast cancer.

The detective has been struggling with the demands of chemotherapy following his stage three diagnosis, while Bernie and Lisa have become increasingly worried about his determination to continue working.

Coming up, Sarah is shocked to discover Kit collapsed and immediately rushes to help him. The following day, she insists he receives medical attention at hospital rather than dismissing the incident.

Although Kit and Sarah have experienced difficulties in their relationship, she remains concerned about his health and is determined to make sure he gets the help he needs.

Chemotherapy can cause considerable physical side effects, including exhaustion, dizziness and anaemia. However, Kit's collapse has not been given a confirmed medical explanation, and it would be premature to assume his treatment is responsible.

His storyline also highlights male breast cancer, a condition that receives considerably less public attention than breast cancer in women. Cancer Research UK estimates that around 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer annually in the UK.

Kit's reluctance to accept support has already created tension within his family, particularly with Bernie, who has struggled to cope with her son's diagnosis.

However, the hospital visit leads to an entirely different problem when Sarah notices Bethany and Ryan leaving the maternity department.

Sarah inadvertently reveals that Bethany is pregnant, leaving Kit stunned by the discovery. With Kit already dealing with serious health concerns, the unexpected news creates another complication involving Sarah and her daughter.

Coronation Street continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
