Who Is DS Ramsden in Emmerdale? What We Know About Caitlin Todd’s Investigator

DS Ramsden has joined Emmerdale as the detective investigating the death of Dr Caitlin Todd at Jacob’s Fold. Played by Chelsea Edge, she has questioned both Charity Dingle and Sarah Sugden as police try to establish exactly what happened.

Viewers know that Sarah pushed Caitlin during their confrontation, causing the fatal fall, while Charity has claimed responsibility in an attempt to protect her granddaughter.

Who is DS Ramsden?

DS Ramsden is the police detective leading the investigation into Caitlin’s death. Her appearances have centred on interviewing Charity and Sarah and examining whether their accounts match the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Rather than treating Charity’s admission as the end of the matter, Ramsden has continued asking questions about what happened before Caitlin died and who was present at Jacob’s Fold.

Why is Charity being questioned?

Charity has told police that she was responsible for Caitlin’s death and has spent a night in the cells. Ramsden has since questioned her further about her account and the events leading up to Caitlin’s death.
