Higgsfield, an AI video and image creation platform, has opened its filmmaking Academy to the public with courses showing how AI films are made.

The company has now opened an online Academy showing the public how those tools can be used as part of a wider filmmaking process.
The Academy can be started for free, although some of Higgsfield’s generation tools and wider model access sit behind paid plans. That means people can explore the training without committing to a subscription, but producing a larger project may still involve costs.
One of its main courses, Blockbuster 4K: The AI Filmmaking Pipeline, runs for around 40 minutes across 10 modules. It covers scripting, creating reusable characters and locations, generating scenes and selecting the strongest takes for the finished film.
The course also shows one of the biggest challenges with AI video: consistency. Generating a short clip can be relatively easy, but keeping the same character, props and locations believable across multiple scenes requires far more control and repeated attempts.
Higgsfield has already tested the process on a much larger scale with Hell Grind, a 95-minute AI-generated sci-fi film shown at the Marché du Film in Cannes. The project drew attention for its visuals while also showing that generating footage is only one part of making something audiences will actually want to watch.
