TUI adds eight Gatwick destinations for summer 2027, from Seville to Lesbos

TUI is expanding its London Gatwick flight programme for summer 2027, adding eight destinations that include Mediterranean cities, historic cultural centres and islands in Greece and Tunisia.

The new routes are Athens, Palermo, Santiago de Compostela, Seville, Valencia, Tangier, Djerba and Mytilene on the Greek island of Lesbos. The expansion will increase TUI’s destination portfolio from Gatwick to 59 destinations.

The additions offer a varied choice for travellers planning next summer’s holidays. Athens provides access to ancient landmarks and Greek culture, while Seville is known for its historic architecture, traditional food and flamenco heritage.

Palermo, the Sicilian capital, combines historic buildings with lively markets and local cuisine. Valencia offers a mix of city attractions and a Mediterranean coastline, while Santiago de Compostela is known for its historic centre and its connection with the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage routes.

The new Greek route is to Mytilene, the main town on Lesbos. Visitors can explore its harbour, historic buildings and local food scene, while using the town as a base for discovering more of the island.

The expansion also includes Tangier in northern Morocco, where African and European influences meet, and Djerba in Tunisia, an island known for its beaches, traditional architecture and cultural heritage.

TUI announced the new routes as part of its wider summer 2027 flying programme, which includes 25 new routes across its European network. The airline says the programme will add around 640,000 seats across those new routes.

Most services across the wider programme are planned to operate two to three times per week, although the precise frequency and departure dates vary by route. The new Gatwick routes are intended primarily to serve flight-only customers, while the schedule may also support package holiday demand.

For travellers, the expansion provides more destinations to compare when planning a summer break.

Anyone considering a particular route should check the available departure dates and whether flights are offered independently or as part of a package, rather than assuming all destinations will be available every day.
