Madonna confirms WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 performance as Club Confessions heads to Europe

Madonna has officially confirmed she will perform at WorldPride Amsterdam 2026, bringing her acclaimed Club Confessions show to one of the world’s biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations.

The Queen of Pop revealed the news through her Instagram Stories, confirming she will take to the stage on Saturday, August 1, as part of the WorldPride Music Festival in Amsterdam.

The announcement follows days of speculation after cryptic Dutch language teasers appeared across Madonna’s and WorldPride Amsterdam’s social media channels, with many fans predicting the singer would headline one of the festival’s biggest events.

The Amsterdam performance marks the latest stop on Madonna’s Club Confessions series, which has already attracted huge audiences in Los Angeles, London, New York and Paris. Organised by LGBTQ+ healthcare platform MISTR in partnership with WorldPride Amsterdam, organisers have described it as the biggest Club Confessions event to date.

Madonna will be joined on stage by longtime collaborator Stuart Price, acclaimed DJ and producer Honey Dijon, with additional special guests expected to be announced closer to the event.

The performance comes just weeks after the release of Madonna’s fifteenth studio album, Confessions II, which debuted at number one in both the UK and the United States, extending her remarkable chart success across four decades.

It also continues a busy summer for the global superstar. In recent weeks she delivered a surprise Pride performance in New York City’s Times Square before making headlines with her appearance during the inaugural FIFA Women’s World Cup Final halftime show, moments that quickly went viral across social media.

The Amsterdam concert forms part of a wider week of celebrations during WorldPride Amsterdam 2026. Alongside Madonna’s headline appearance, the city will host the famous Canal Parade, expected to attract hundreds of thousands of spectators, while the programme also includes performances from Beth Ditto, Billy Porter, Gustaph, Olly Alexander, The Blessed Madonna, Lion Babe and many more across the festival.

Madonna’s appearance continues her decades long support for LGBTQ+ communities around the world. Throughout her career she has consistently used her platform to advocate for equality, becoming one of the community’s most visible allies and regularly speaking out against discrimination.

That message was echoed this week by fellow music icon Cyndi Lauper, who urged LGBTQ+ people and allies not to lose hope during an appearance at Outright International’s Celebration of Courage gala in New York.

“We need to band together. We need to stand together, and we need to speak out, and we need to help each other,” Lauper said during the event, later adding: “We can never give up.”

Lauper also reflected on her decades of LGBTQ+ advocacy, highlighting the work of her True Colors United charity, which supports LGBTQ+ young people experiencing homelessness, while encouraging supporters to continue fighting for equality around the world.

With Madonna now officially confirmed for Amsterdam and an extensive programme of music, culture and community events planned across the city, WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest Pride celebrations ever held in Europe.

WorldPride Amsterdam 2026 takes place from 25 July to 8 August, with Madonna performing on Saturday, August 1.
