Is Tane Leaving Home and Away as He Makes a Major Decision About Archie?

Tane Parata takes a significant step towards leaving Summer Bay in Home and Away's upcoming UK episodes after admitting that living away from his son Archie has become increasingly difficult.

Tane has been struggling with the distance separating him from Archie, particularly after learning that his son had been taken to hospital following an accident at daycare.

The incident left him frustrated that Dana had been contacted before him, highlighting the practical difficulties of being a parent who lives several hours away.

When Tane discusses his feelings with Mackenzie, she suggests employing someone to manage the gym so that he can spend longer periods visiting Archie.

However, the conversation prompts Tane to consider a more permanent solution. He later admits to Alf that he no longer feels there is much keeping him in Summer Bay, explaining that he wants to build his life around being close to his son.

Rather than continue travelling back and forth, Tane begins making arrangements that could allow him to relocate. He approaches Mali about taking responsibility for the gym, although Mali is initially reluctant because of his existing commitments.

Mali remembers how much assistance he needed from Lacey and John when he previously helped manage the business, and Alf also warns him against taking on too much. Eventually, Mali agrees to help on the condition that the arrangement is temporary, allowing Tane to begin discussing his plans with Harper.

The decision raises questions about the gym's future and whether Tane intends to return once he has settled closer to Archie.

It also leaves viewers wondering whether Ethan Browne is preparing to depart the programme, although Tane considering a move is not confirmation of an actor exit.

For now, Tane's priority is finding a way to be more involved in his son's childhood.

Home and Away airs on 5STAR and streams on 5 in the UK. Australian broadcasts are further ahead.
