Icebreaker See Ana’s Jealousy Become Impossible to Hide
ICEBREAKER Episodes 19 to 23 push Ana and Noémie into dangerous territory aboard the Polaris as a safety scare, jealousy and growing distance expose Ana’s feelings.
Ana and Noémie have spent months learning each other’s habits aboard the Polaris, but Episodes 19 to 23 of Icebreaker show just how much attention they are now paying to one another. Their familiar conversations and regular disagreements have become part of daily life, even if neither woman is prepared to explain why those moments matter so much.
Others aboard the ship are already noticing. Ana struggles to focus on a report when Noémie is nearby, while the crew begin pointing out details that the captain would clearly prefer to keep private.
Things become much more serious during preparations for a helicopter operation. Ana makes the safety rules clear and specifically warns everyone to remain behind the yellow line, with Noémie immediately recognising that part of the warning is aimed directly at her.
When Noémie misunderstands a signal and steps across the line during the helicopter approach, Ana reacts instantly. She pulls her back and confronts her afterwards, but her anger quickly reveals something more personal than simple frustration with a crew member who made a mistake.
Ana admits she felt forced to divide her attention between the operation and constantly watching where Noémie was. When Noémie challenges her on exactly what she means, Ana cannot answer without revealing more than she intended.
The uncomfortable exchange creates distance between them, which should be exactly what Ana wants. Instead, she soon finds herself watching Noémie laughing with someone else and becoming visibly irritated when another crew member notices.
Ana insists that she does not care, but nobody around her seems convinced. Even her attempts to eat in peace turn into another conversation about Noémie and why the captain is paying quite so much attention to her.
Noémie is beginning to notice things as well. While reviewing footage, someone points out that she smiles whenever Ana appears on screen, forcing Noémie to confront a reaction she had not even realised was happening.
Their new professional distance only makes the situation stranger. Ana has finally achieved a world without their teasing, arguments and late night conversations, yet she appears far from satisfied with the result.
By the end of these episodes, both women are hearing observations they would rather ignore. Noémie is told that she laughs more around Ana, while Ana is confronted with the obvious fact that she notices Noémie even when she is trying not to.
