How AI is bringing Camp Wonder Saga's supernatural world to life
Camp Wonder Saga creator Francois Stroebel explains how AI helped bring an independent LGBTQ+ supernatural fantasy series from books to visual episodes.
What started as a supernatural fantasy book has developed into a series of AI-generated visual episodes, bringing the characters of The Camp Wonder Saga to life on screen.
Created by independent author Francois Stroebel, the LGBTQ+ series follows Marc Carter, Earl Rowan and a growing cast of supernatural characters whose stories combine romance, friendship, magic and mystery.
The move into AI-generated entertainment has given audiences another way to discover Camp Wonder, a sanctuary for supernatural beings where friendships become family and everyone has a place to belong.

From books to AI-generated episodes
Speaking exclusively to SoapLandTV, Francois explained how the technology made it possible to bring the fictional world to screen without the backing of a major production studio.
"As an independent author, I don’t have a Hollywood budget or a production studio behind me. AI technology gave me the opportunity to bring my imagination to the screen and share Camp Wonder in a completely different way."
Creating the episodes still takes patience and creativity, particularly when getting the characters, emotions and scenes right. Francois explained that the technology adds another dimension to the original stories rather than replacing the writing.
"The AI visuals don’t replace my writing; they bring another dimension to it."

Meet the characters bringing Camp Wonder to life
At the centre of the story is Marc Carter, a young man discovering his abilities and finding his place in a world he never knew existed. His relationship with Earl Rowan, a powerful and protective werewolf, is one of the emotional foundations of the series.
There's also Dunn Fisher, Marc's loyal friend whose sense of humour and tendency to get into trouble provide some of the lighter moments.
Other characters include Silver, a reserved werewolf discovering a new path, and Rafael, a playful kitsune – a magical fox spirit from Japanese folklore – who brings flirting, humour and a few surprises to the camp.
Francois told SoapLandTV that thousands of people have watched the characters, with viewers discussing their relationships, laughing at Dunn's adventures and cheering for Marc and Earl.

More adventures are on the way
The story is continuing to grow, with Francois planning new characters, unexpected relationships and deeper supernatural mysteries.
"Fans can look forward to new characters, unexpected relationships, deeper supernatural mysteries, and plenty of romance, action, and, of course, Dunn getting himself into trouble!"
There are also plans to explore more of the individual characters' journeys while continuing the wider story through both books and visual episodes.
