Home and Away's Cash faces impossible rescue race after Levi's devastating fall
Cash is thrown into a desperate fight against time when Levi is left critically injured in the wilderness, with help hours away in Home and Away.
Cash has dealt with plenty of emergencies during his time as a police officer, but nothing could prepare him for what unfolds during a boys' camping trip into the wilderness.
What begins as a competitive getaway with Levi, Mali and Tane soon descends into a nightmare after the group head deep into the bush, far away from civilisation. With Levi determined to prove himself against his brother in law, tensions simmer throughout the trip as the pair compete in a series of challenges.
Levi's determination to beat Cash eventually comes at a devastating cost. After secretly planning to get his own back by winning the competition, the doctor suffers a horrific accident when the ground beneath him suddenly gives way, sending him plunging over the edge of a rocky cliff.
The impact leaves Levi unconscious with a serious head injury, and the reality of the situation quickly hits the rest of the group. There are no ambulances nearby, no easy route back to safety and no guarantee that help will arrive in time.
For Cash, the situation becomes a race against the clock. Used to coordinating emergency responses rather than leading them in remote wilderness, he has to rely on instinct as every passing minute could make the difference.
Mali and Tane are equally shaken as they work alongside Cash, knowing they have only the equipment they've brought with them. Their survival skills are suddenly put to the ultimate test as they try to stabilise Levi while searching for a way to get him medical attention.
The terrifying ordeal also comes after the group had been enjoying a day of friendly rivalry, with laser tag, archery and other outdoor challenges bringing out their competitive sides. None of them could have imagined how quickly the mood would change.
With Levi's condition deteriorating and civilisation so far away, the rescue effort becomes one of the most dramatic survival stories Summer Bay has seen for some time. Whether Cash and the others can keep Levi alive long enough for help to arrive is the question that hangs over the entire ordeal.
