Home and Away’s Beau Turns On Harper Over Archie
Beau’s reaction to Archie’s return raises concerns as his relationship with Harper takes a troubling turn in Home and Away.
Home and Away will reveal a more troubling side to Beau as Harper Matheson prepares to welcome her son Archie back to Summer Bay.
Harper has been enjoying spending time alone with Beau while Archie has been away in New Zealand with Tane Parata. She believes Beau is a physiotherapist who helped Sonny Baldwin during his rehabilitation, unaware that he has also been supplying Sonny with illegal steroids.
As Harper becomes increasingly comfortable in the new relationship, Beau begins showing signs that he wants her attention focused entirely on him. His response to Archie’s return will leave Harper trying to balance her responsibilities as a mother with the demands of her new partner.
Beau Wants Harper To Himself
Harper has been spending many nights at Beau’s home while enjoying some rare child-free time.
When Harper suggests inviting Dana Matheson to join them for lunch, Beau admits that he would prefer to keep Harper to himself. He is also disappointed when they have to return to the pier apartment, although his mood improves after discovering that Dana is not home.
Beau then reveals that he has arranged a romantic surprise for Harper. He has booked them a stay at a luxury mountain retreat, expecting the couple to leave the following day.
However, Harper has news of her own. Tane and Archie are returning from New Zealand on the same day, and Harper is delighted that she will soon be reunited with her son.
Harper Rejects Beau’s Romantic Trip
Harper is touched by Beau’s surprise but explains that she cannot leave Summer Bay when Archie is coming home.
Beau initially appears to accept her decision, but his attitude changes once they leave the diner. Back at the apartment, he accuses Harper of failing to appreciate the effort he has made and questions whether she is refusing the trip because of Archie or because of Tane.
Harper insists that Tane has nothing to do with her decision, but Beau walks out. Harper follows him and apologises for making him feel unimportant, while reminding him that being with her also means accepting that she is a mother.
Beau quickly softens and claims that he is looking forward to meeting Archie. He arranges dinner at Salt with Harper, appearing to put their disagreement behind them.
Tane Meets Harper’s New Partner
Tane arrives earlier than expected the following morning with Archie, interrupting Harper and Beau at the apartment.
The meeting is immediately uncomfortable. Beau had told Harper to send the visitor away before realising that Tane and Archie were at the door, but he quickly becomes charming once he understands who has arrived.
When Tane asks how long Harper and Beau have been dating, Harper explains that they have not officially defined their relationship. Beau responds by asking Harper to become his girlfriend in front of Tane.
Tane is understandably cautious about a new man spending time around his son and asks Cash Newman to find out more about Beau. Cash speaks to him but is won over by his friendly manner and the apparent ease with which he looks after Archie.
Beau’s Attitude Changes Again
Beau’s pleasant behaviour does not last once Cash leaves.
During a walk with Harper, Beau complains about being questioned by both Tane and Cash. He also becomes angry that Harper had not told him Tane owned the gym he attends.
Beau claims that social situations make him uncomfortable and asks Harper to warn him before friends or former partners appear. He says he wants their time together kept separate from other people, and Harper agrees to be more mindful.
Harper is later reassured when she sees Beau behaving affectionately towards Archie. However, his manner changes as soon as Harper leaves them alone.
Beau quietly describes Archie as “a little complication”, revealing that his apparent enthusiasm about Harper’s son is not genuine.
The comment raises serious concerns about how Beau truly views Harper’s life as a mother. Harper has made it clear that she and Archie come as a package, but Beau appears determined to have her attention to himself.
