Mackenzie finds herself offering unexpected relationship advice in upcoming Home and Away scenes after Amelia finally opens up about the emotional turmoil she has been trying to hide.
Still trying to process everything that has happened with David, Amelia arrives at Salt feeling completely lost. She knows her relationship with David has become increasingly complicated, but she is no closer to understanding what the future might hold.
Sensing something is troubling her, Mackenzie encourages Amelia to talk. Rather than keeping everything bottled up, Amelia admits she has developed feelings for someone she believes she cannot have, leaving her unsure whether she should keep fighting those emotions or walk away completely.
Although Amelia avoids naming David, Mackenzie immediately recognises the pain behind her words. Having experienced her own complicated journey to happiness, she understands exactly how difficult it can be to risk your heart without knowing how the other person feels.
Instead of offering vague reassurance, Mackenzie shares part of her own story. She explains that there came a point when she realised she needed certainty rather than endless questions, so she decided to take a chance and find out where she stood.
That decision ultimately led her to Levi.

Even so, Mackenzie's advice offers Amelia a different perspective.
Rather than focusing on everything that could go wrong, Amelia begins considering what might happen if she never tells David how she truly feels. Keeping those emotions hidden forever could leave her wondering what might have been.
Whether Mackenzie's words give Amelia the confidence to take another chance remains to be seen. What is clear, however, is that one honest conversation between friends could have a lasting impact as Amelia continues trying to decide what the future holds.
