Five major storylines dominate Home and Away from 14–18 September 2026, with Summer Bay facing emotional goodbyes, a serious medical battle and a romance that becomes far more complicated just as it finally begins.

Dana and Harper leave Summer Bay. Harper decides she cannot risk Beau finding Archie after his eventual release and chooses to leave the Bay completely. Dana ends things with Sonny and joins her sister, resulting in emotional farewells with John, Tane and Sonny.

Eden’s treatment reaches a critical new stage. Her symptoms return faster than expected and she requires another transfusion alongside immunosuppressant therapy. A possible stem cell transplant offers hope, but finding an eligible family donor immediately becomes complicated.

Levi considers sacrificing his own recovery. Levi is desperate to help Eden and is willing to postpone the hand surgery that could determine his own medical career. Eden initially refuses to allow it, but eventually agrees he should undergo testing to see whether he is compatible.

David and Amelia finally kiss. Their growing relationship reaches a breakthrough when Amelia initiates an intimate first kiss. David reciprocates before suddenly panicking, and the reason soon becomes clear when he admits he feels guilty about moving on from his late wife.

Zane confronts his past. Despite making progress at work and at home, Zane admits that he cannot stop thinking about the person he hurt. Marilyn encourages him to write an apology letter, but sending it creates a new moral question over whether his victim will actually want to hear from him.

Away from those five stories, Sonny begins trying to rebuild his reputation after learning his charges have been dropped because of his cooperation against Beau. Tane remains furious with him, while Remi continues encouraging Sonny to prove through his actions that he genuinely intends to change.
