Home and Away: Tane and Remi agree new house rules over Archie
Tane and Remi clear the air after clashing over visitors at home, leading to a new agreement designed to put Archie first in Home and Away.
Tane and Remi put their recent disagreement behind them in upcoming Home and Away scenes as they reach a compromise over life at home with Archie.
The tension begins after Tane takes issue with Remi bringing a woman he met at the Surf Club fundraiser back to the house while his young son is around. Although Remi has every right to enjoy his personal life, Tane believes Archie should always come first and makes his feelings clear.
His reaction catches Remi off guard, leaving the pair at odds over where the boundaries should lie.
From Tane’s perspective, he is simply trying to create a stable environment for his son. As Archie becomes the centre of his world, Tane wants to avoid unexpected situations that could make family life more complicated.
Having spent months rebuilding his own life after brain surgery, Remi is beginning to regain his confidence and is looking forward to meeting new people again. Being criticised for bringing someone home leaves him frustrated, particularly as he had no intention of causing any problems.
After taking time to reflect on the situation, Tane begins to wonder whether he may have been too harsh.
A conversation with Cash encourages him to look at things from Remi’s point of view, helping him realise there is room for compromise without putting Archie second.
Rather than allowing the disagreement to grow, Tane decides to speak openly with Remi. The pair discuss their concerns honestly and quickly realise they are both trying to achieve the same thing, even if they have different ways of approaching it.
Going forward, Remi promises to give Tane advance notice whenever he plans to bring someone back to the house. In return, Tane agrees he will always let Remi know when Archie will be staying over, allowing them both to plan ahead and avoid awkward situations.
The agreement immediately eases the tension between them.
With Archie spending the evening with Harper, Tane reassures Remi that the house is his to enjoy, giving him the freedom to invite someone back without worrying about causing another misunderstanding.
The conversation marks an important step forward for their friendship. Instead of allowing resentment to build, both men are prepared to listen, compromise and respect each other’s priorities.
As Tane continues adjusting to life as a father and Remi embraces a fresh chapter after his recovery, their new arrangement offers a practical way for them to share a home while ensuring neither feels they have to sacrifice the life they want to lead.
