Home and Away spoilers 5–9 October 2026 sees Marilyn’s help rejected before Zane’s violent outburst
Marilyn cannot persuade Zane to embrace his future, Eden needs Cash to listen, and Mackenzie and Levi make a final decision about IVF.
Marilyn cannot persuade Zane that he deserves a future outside prison in Home and Away this week. While his friends offer practical help, he begins looking for a way back into custody.
Alf questions whether Marilyn can continue supporting Zane after everything that has happened. She remains determined, but suggestions of college courses and driving lessons fail to interest him.
Alf also researches psychologists, briefly causing John to wonder whether Alf needs help himself. Zane appreciates the gesture but rejects counselling, convinced it cannot change who he is.
A meal with Mali and Tane allows Zane to discuss prison with someone who has also experienced it. He admits missing the routine, while later telling Marilyn he does not deserve the privilege of driving.

David offers positive news about potentially easing his parole conditions but warns that a mistake could send him back to prison. Zane subsequently thanks his friends, takes a pool cue and vandalises the Juice Bar and board shop.
Mali and Tane restrain him, yet a caution at the station leaves him dissatisfied. He punches an officer and is arrested, relieved to have achieved what he wanted.

Eden is struggling to get through to Cash, who uses running and distractions to avoid discussing her possible death. Deb arrives to support the family, but Eden asks her parents to leave so she and Cash can finally talk.
Cash arranges a visit from Remi, which Eden enjoys while recognising the timing. Deb explains why the parents are going, and Cash is left to face the conversation his wife needs.
Abigail takes time away from the family’s worries and encounters Richie. Now working in retail after deciding against policing, he admits he misses her and asks her to consider taking him back.

Lacey gives David and Amelia welcome encouragement after a drink with Amelia helps her understand the relationship. David and Amelia then agree that its complications will not stop them continuing together.
Levi’s fury over the lost embryos leaves Mackenzie needing comfort rather than plans for legal action. After Mali intervenes and further anger forces another conversation, Mackenzie decides against more IVF, with Levi affirming that they can be a family without children.
Tane pushes Sonny over and challenges his employment at Salt, but Mackenzie refuses to sack him. Tane later apologises and comforts her after learning about the embryos.
