Home and Away spoilers 5–9 October 2026 as Zane attacks a police officer and Eden needs answers
Zane deliberately seeks arrest, Eden needs Cash to face her future, and Mackenzie makes a life-changing decision in Home and Away.
Zane deliberately gets himself arrested in Home and Away next week, while Eden needs Cash to confront the possibility of losing her. Elsewhere, Mackenzie and Levi reconsider parenthood, two relationships move forward and Sonny fears his new job is already over.
Marilyn’s attempts to encourage Zane towards a future outside prison repeatedly fail.

He dismisses college courses, backs out of driving lessons and declines the professional support Alf has researched, convinced that counselling cannot change how he sees himself.
Dinner with Mali and Tane reveals how much Zane misses prison’s routine.

When David later explains that his parole conditions could be relaxed, a warning about returning to prison gives Zane an idea.
After thanking those who have supported him, Zane takes a pool cue and smashes up the Juice Bar and board shop.

Mali and Tane restrain him, but when David subsequently gives him a caution, Zane punches another officer and is arrested.
Eden, meanwhile, cannot get Cash to discuss what happens if a matching donor is not found. He exhausts himself running, struggles to enter their home and insists that they will grow old together. Deb’s arrival brings support, but Eden eventually asks her parents to leave so she and Cash can talk privately.

Cash arranges a visit from Remi, delighting Eden, although she recognises another attempt to postpone the conversation. Before leaving, Deb makes clear that Eden needs her husband, and the couple are finally left alone to talk.
The pressure also overwhelms Abigail, who takes a break and unexpectedly encounters Richie.
He has accepted that policing is not for him, now works in retail and wants another chance with her, leaving Abigail to consider his request.

David and Amelia enjoy time together, although an unexpected encounter with Lacey unsettles their plans.
A drink between Lacey and Amelia changes things, with Lacey acknowledging that Amelia could be good for her dad. Levi reacts furiously to the loss of his and Mackenzie’s frozen embryos, initially proposing legal action.
Mali reminds him that Mackenzie needs support, and although Levi’s anger resurfaces, the couple eventually decide against further IVF. Levi reassures her that they are already a family.
Tane pushes Sonny to the floor and later objects to finding him working at Salt. Mackenzie refuses to dismiss a good worker, while Tane apologises and offers her comfort after learning about the embryos.
