Home and Away spoilers 5–9 October 2026 as Mackenzie ends IVF hopes and Cash faces a painful talk
Mackenzie and Levi choose a future without more IVF, Cash struggles to face Eden’s fears, and Zane rejects help before a violent outburst.
Mackenzie decides she cannot continue IVF in Home and Away this week, bringing an emotional conversation with Levi about their future. Across Summer Bay, Cash avoids Eden’s fears, Zane turns down support and Richie returns hoping to win Abigail back.
The loss of their frozen embryos leaves Levi demanding explanations from the clinic. He wants legal action, but Mackenzie cannot share his fury and leaves for work, overwhelmed by sadness.
Mali urges Levi to recognise what Mackenzie needs from him. Levi asks her home and offers to talk or find another clinic, but at that moment she only wants a hug.
His anger returns, including during a confrontation with Tane and another call to the clinic. Later, Levi looks through the keepsake box for the baby they lost, and he and Mackenzie discuss whether to try again.
Mackenzie ultimately decides against further IVF. Levi removes them from the clinic’s client list and reassures her that they can be a family without children.
Tane’s confrontation with Levi follows his discovery that Mackenzie has employed Sonny at Salt. Having already pushed Sonny to the floor, Tane objects to the job, but Mackenzie keeps Sonny on. Tane apologises and supports her when she explains her own heartbreak.
Abigail takes a break from the family’s distress and finds Richie back in the Bay. He has moved from policing into retail and asks for another chance, leaving her with a decision to make.
Eden also needs support, but Cash keeps finding ways to avoid discussing her possible death. His running offers only temporary distraction, and Deb’s arrival gives him another reason to postpone the conversation.
Eden asks Deb and Jimmy to leave so she and Cash have space. A surprise visit from Remi lifts her spirits, although she realises Cash has arranged another distraction. Deb urges him to be there for his wife before the parents depart.
David and Amelia’s romance receives welcome encouragement after Lacey agrees to spend time with Amelia. Their conversation helps Lacey see her perspective, and she tells David the relationship could be good for him.
Zane, however, cannot imagine a positive future. He rejects courses, driving lessons and counselling, then discusses missing prison with Mali and Tane.
David’s warning about returning to custody prompts him to act. Zane smashes up the Juice Bar and board shop, then punches an officer when a caution fails to deliver the arrest he wants.
