Home and Away spoilers 5–9 October 2026 as Eden asks her parents to leave and Zane seeks prison

Eden asks her parents to leave in Home and Away this week, needing space for a conversation Cash keeps avoiding. As her family struggles, Zane decides prison is where he belongs and Mackenzie faces a painful choice about becoming a mother.

Cash tries to escape his thoughts through running, but returning home proves harder than finishing another lap. David encourages him to recognise where he needs to be, yet Cash still hesitates at the door.

Deb arrives to support Eden, joining Jimmy and Abigail as concern grows about the conversation she needs with her husband. Eden wants to discuss what happens if there is no matching donor, while Cash can only talk about their future together.

Feeling crowded, Eden asks for her parents to go home. Cash then brings Remi over as a surprise, but Eden realises the visit also delays their discussion. Deb tells Cash why they are leaving, and he and Eden finally have time alone.

Abigail struggles with hearing her sister talk about dying and takes Jimmy’s advice to get out for a while. She encounters Richie, who listens to her worries before admitting that he returned because he misses her. Having left policing behind for retail work, he asks her to consider trying again.

Lacey also reconsiders a relationship, this time her dad’s. After David and Amelia’s romantic day brings an unexpected meeting with Lacey, the two women share a drink, and Lacey tells David she thinks Amelia could be good for him.

At Salt, Sonny’s new job provokes Tane, who has already pushed him over at the Surf Club. Sonny expects Mackenzie to choose Tane over him, but she keeps him on and advises him to keep his distance.

Tane later apologises and learns that Mackenzie and Levi have lost their frozen embryos. Levi’s demands for answers and talk of legal action leave Mackenzie struggling with his anger, until they confront whether to continue IVF. She decides against another attempt, and Levi confirms that a life together without children is enough.

Zane rejects Marilyn’s suggestions, driving lessons and Alf’s offer of professional support. A conversation with Tane about prison reinforces his longing for its routine.

After David warns that a wrong move could send him back, Zane deliberately vandalises the Juice Bar and board shop. A caution does not satisfy him, so he punches an officer and secures the arrest he wanted.
