Five huge Home and Away stories for 31 August to 4 September include Eden’s health crisis, Beau’s downfall and a romantic breakthrough for David.
Five major stories dominate Home and Away as Summer Bay faces everything from a frightening medical emergency to relationship decisions and the aftermath of Beau’s behaviour.
Eden’s health crisis is the biggest development. Her dizziness and exhaustion become increasingly worrying before she suddenly collapses at Salt. Amelia discovers an abnormal heartbeat and orders further tests, with extensive bruising eventually leading to a bone marrow biopsy. Eden receives the devastating diagnosis of aplastic anaemia and learns the condition can potentially be fatal.
Harper also takes a major step after Cash finds her preparing to run. With Beau in police custody, Cash explains that Harper’s bruising could help provide the evidence they need against him. She agrees to speak to police, Beau lashes out when he realises she will not support him and David finally arrests him.
Sonny’s relationship with Dana hangs in the balance when he admits the truth about his drug use. Dana struggles with the fact he planned to hide everything from her, although Remi’s own experiences encourage her to offer Sonny one final opportunity to prove himself.
There is happier news for David and Amelia. After discovering Amelia is staying in Summer Bay, David arranges a barbecue as an obvious excuse to spend time with her. Jo, Lacey and Justin eventually leave them alone, allowing David and Amelia to admit that they both want to see where their growing attraction could lead.
Zane also returns after Mali finds him scavenging for food and injured. Marilyn convinces him to accept treatment and later takes him into Alf’s home, before Leah agrees to employ him at the Diner.
Levi, meanwhile, faces his own uncertain future. With surgery still three weeks away, his failed attempt to treat Zane highlights just how badly his hand injury is affecting him and leaves Mackenzie fearing he might not be able to return to the career he loves.
