Home and Away: Sonny drags Viv into Beau’s dangerous steroid operation

Sonny finds himself facing another heartbreaking setback in upcoming Home and Away scenes as Beau’s relentless manipulation leaves him making a decision he never wanted to make.

Already struggling to cope with the pressure of Beau forcing him into the illegal steroid trade, Sonny desperately tries to keep his double life hidden from the people closest to him. Unfortunately, his secret becomes even harder to protect when Dana unknowingly comes close to discovering exactly what he has been hiding.

Completely unaware of the danger Sonny is in, Dana opens up about how proud she is of everything he has achieved. She tells him she has watched him fight his way through his recovery and admits seeing his determination has only strengthened her feelings for him.

The heartfelt conversation leaves Sonny consumed with guilt. Every kind word from Dana serves as another reminder that he is keeping a devastating secret from the woman he loves.

His panic intensifies when Dana begins sorting through the washing and reaches for his backpack. Hidden inside are the steroids Beau forced him to take, leaving Sonny scrambling to stop her from looking inside before everything is exposed.

Although he manages to steer Dana’s attention elsewhere, the close call leaves him visibly shaken. It is another reminder that the life Beau has pulled him into is becoming impossible to hide.

Later, Sonny attempts to break free from the hold the drugs still have over him. Believing there is only one way to end the nightmare, he tips the steroids away and watches as they disappear.

However, the moment of determination quickly fades. Unable to follow through, Sonny reaches back and recovers the pills, overcome by the addiction he has fought so hard to leave behind.

Realising he has once again lost the battle with himself, Sonny is left emotionally exhausted. Every attempt to escape Beau’s influence seems to pull him even deeper into trouble, leaving him feeling completely trapped.

The following day, Sonny makes a decision that marks another turning point in the storyline. Spotting fellow gym member Viv, he strikes up a conversation and begins sounding her out about performance enhancing drugs.

It is a move that would once have been unthinkable for Sonny. Rather than simply risking his own recovery, he is now on the verge of drawing somebody else into the same dangerous world that has already turned his own life upside down.

The development underlines just how much control Beau now has over him. After refusing to steal money for the steroid operation, Sonny has found himself pushed into becoming part of the business in another way, despite repeatedly insisting he wants no involvement.

As Sonny edges closer to completing his first deal, the risk of everything unravelling continues to grow. Dana remains convinced the man she loves is moving forwards, while the reality is that he is slipping further into Beau’s criminal operation with every passing day.

Whether Sonny can find the courage to walk away before more lives are affected remains to be seen, but his approach to Viv suggests Beau’s influence is only becoming stronger.
