Home and Away’s Levi learns he has just three weeks for the best chance from hand surgery, intensifying fears that his medical career could be at risk.
Levi’s fears over his future become even more urgent in Home and Away when he learns there is a critical window for the surgery that could determine how well his injured hand recovers. Instead of giving him reassurance, the timetable only makes the pressure surrounding his career feel more real.
Levi tells Mackenzie that his operation has been scheduled for three weeks’ time. That timing offers the best chance of a successful result, while delaying the procedure further could increase the risks.
For someone already terrified that he could lose the fine motor skills needed for medicine, three weeks feels far from reassuring. Levi is not simply waiting for an operation, because he is waiting to find out whether the career he has built his identity around can still be saved.
Amelia later joins him at Salt, where Levi buys her a coffee to thank her for extending her stay and helping cover his absence. Her decision removes one practical worry, but it does little to ease what is happening inside Levi’s head.
Abigail tries to lift his mood with food and cocktail tasting, while Mali reminds him of the courage he has already shown. Their support matters, but Levi remains stuck on the belief that he is currently no use to anyone.
That feeling pushes him back towards the hospital, where he seeks out his hand surgeon for another conversation. His determination is understandable, but it also shows how difficult he is finding the loss of control that comes with being the patient rather than the doctor.
Mackenzie quietly admits her own fear to Mali, asking what happens if Levi cannot work again. It is the question Levi himself cannot stop thinking about, and one nobody can answer yet.
The surgery gives Levi hope, but the three-week countdown also makes everything feel frighteningly concrete. His future is no longer an abstract worry, because every day now leads towards an operation carrying enormous consequences for the life he wants back.
