Home and Away: Levi and Cash rivalry explodes during mountain challenge
Levi sets out to prove himself against Cash as their competitive outdoor trip begins with a tense archery wager in Home and Away.
Levi turns a friendly outdoor trip into a personal contest in upcoming Home and Away scenes as his resentment towards Cash continues to grow. What begins as lighthearted banter quickly becomes a much more serious rivalry once the group reaches the mountains.
Levi is still annoyed after learning that Cash only invited him because Eden felt sorry for him. Rather than backing out, he tells Mali that he plans to get his own back by beating Cash at every activity they face.
Cash immediately picks up on Levi’s competitive mood as they load the car. Their jokes become increasingly pointed, while Mali and Tane decide they would rather keep their distance from the tension.
Choosing not to get drawn into the rivalry, Mali and Tane take a separate car. Their decision leaves Levi and Cash alone together, giving the competitive atmosphere plenty of time to build before the group even arrives.
By the time they reach the mountains, Cash is already losing patience. Levi continues pushing his buttons and suggests adding a wager to their first archery challenge, knowing Cash will struggle to turn down the opportunity.
They agree on a best of three contest, with the loser handing over fifty dollars. Levi is convinced his steady hands and years of surgical experience will give him the advantage, and he wastes no time trying to prove it.
His confidence appears justified when his first shot lands directly on the bullseye. Cash is left stunned by the result, while Levi enjoys the satisfaction of showing that he is not there simply to make up the numbers.
The early victory raises the question of how far Levi is prepared to take the rivalry. His determination to prove Cash wrong may give him a needed confidence boost, but it could also turn the trip into an exhausting battle that ruins the experience for everyone else.
Cash may also struggle to accept being outperformed so quickly. If Levi continues winning, Cash’s frustration could push him into taking bigger risks or making the contest far more serious than either man originally intended.
Mali and Tane’s decision to travel separately may prove wise if the tension keeps building. They could eventually find themselves stepping in as peacemakers if Levi and Cash’s competitive streak starts affecting the wider group.
There is also a chance the rivalry could eventually lead to greater respect between them. If both men are forced to recognise the other’s strengths, the trip may help repair the awkwardness created by the pity invitation rather than making it worse.
For now, Levi has secured the perfect start and put Cash under immediate pressure. The remaining activities will reveal whether their contest stays playful or becomes one of the most heated clashes of the entire trip.
