Home and Away David joins Tane’s risky plan to finally bring Beau down
Home and Away’s David is handed an unexpected way to catch Beau when Tane reveals the risky trap he has secretly been setting with Harper’s phone.
David’s hunt for Beau takes an unexpected turn in Home and Away when Tane arrives at the police station with a plan that could finally bring him out of hiding. After official searches fail to locate Beau, Tane offers police a much more direct route to him.
David has already instructed officers to intensify their search, but Beau remains difficult to find. Police presence increases around Summer Bay, yet there is still no guarantee he will simply make a mistake and reveal himself.
Tane has been working on another option. By messaging Beau from Harper’s phone, he has convinced him that Harper wants to meet privately.
Mali warns Tane that the plan could easily backfire and leave him in trouble himself. Tane understands the risks but believes waiting for Beau to surrender is unrealistic when Harper and Archie are still living with the consequences of his return.
Late at night, Tane goes directly to David and reveals what he has done. He admits that David probably will not approve of every part of the plan, but the possibility of finally knowing exactly where Beau will be gets David’s attention.
Instead of shutting the idea down, David listens. By the following morning, police are ready when Beau arrives for the meeting.
The operation works because Tane provides the one thing Beau cannot resist: the belief that Harper has contacted him. Beau appears with flowers, only to realise too late that the meeting has been designed to expose him.
David ultimately makes the arrest, while Tane avoids being baited into violence. The result gives David the breakthrough the police search had been missing and keeps the final confrontation firmly on the right side of an official arrest.
Tane took the risk, but bringing David into the plan proves crucial. It means Beau does not simply face Tane on the beach, because the police are there to make sure he cannot run away again.
