Home and Away: David insists Amelia is only his doctor as rumours spread

David finds himself battling growing speculation about his relationship with Amelia in upcoming Home and Away scenes, but convincing those closest to him proves far more difficult than he expected.

Following several awkward encounters between David and Amelia, Jo becomes convinced there is more going on than either of them is prepared to admit. She shares her concerns with Lacey, explaining that Amelia's behaviour has become increasingly difficult to understand, with mixed signals leaving her questioning what is really happening.

David has a very different view of the situation. When his daughters raise the subject once again, he firmly rejects the suggestion that there is anything romantic between himself and Amelia, insisting she has simply supported him through one of the most challenging periods of his life.

Despite his reassurance, Jo refuses to let the matter drop. The more she thinks about recent events, the more convinced she becomes that Amelia has been hiding her true feelings, leaving David completely unaware of what has been developing around him.

David hopes a straightforward conversation will finally settle the issue. He believes that if they both explain there is nothing inappropriate between them, everyone can move on and focus on more important things.

Unfortunately, the meeting does not unfold in the way David expects. What begins as an attempt to silence the rumours quickly develops into an emotional conversation that leaves both of them facing questions neither had planned to answer.

For David, the situation becomes particularly difficult because he has been concentrating on rebuilding his life following counselling and his gradual recovery. The last thing he wants is for misunderstandings to distract from the progress he has been making.

For Amelia, the pressure is equally intense. She has worked hard to maintain professional boundaries, yet her growing feelings make every interaction with David increasingly difficult to navigate.

Whether David can convince those around him that there is nothing more to the story remains to be seen. As emotions continue to build and the rumours refuse to disappear, keeping everyone on the same page may prove far harder than either David or Amelia imagined.
