Home and Away Dana gives Sonny another chance before trust immediately cracks
Home and Away’s Dana agrees to try again with Sonny, but their fragile reconciliation immediately hits trouble when she sees him taking pills.
Dana opens the door to a possible reconciliation with Sonny in Home and Away, but the damage to their trust becomes obvious almost immediately. After saying their relationship was over, she eventually agrees to see whether they can work through what happened.
Sonny is still struggling badly with steroid withdrawal and repeatedly tries to contact Dana despite her request for space. Remi confiscates his phone and refuses to let him keep pushing, knowing that Dana needs the freedom to decide what she wants without constant pressure.
Sonny eventually convinces Remi to make contact on his behalf. Remi leaves Dana a voicemail, and after initially waiting, he receives a message saying she is prepared to meet.
Dana does not immediately return to Sonny without questions. She first speaks with Remi about whether he genuinely believes Sonny is capable of changing and whether another chance would simply lead to more hurt.
Remi tells Dana that Sonny wants a future with her more than anything. He also points out that the fact Dana agreed to talk suggests her feelings have not disappeared either.
When Dana finally sits down with Sonny, she agrees that they can try to work through their problems. Sonny promises he will do whatever he can, while his visibly difficult withdrawal makes clear that the process will not be easy.
The following morning immediately shows how damaged their trust remains. Dana sees Sonny taking pills and assumes he has broken his promise again before he has even made it through one day.
Sonny then reveals that the tablets are simply painkillers for withdrawal headaches. The misunderstanding leaves both of them awkwardly confronting the reality that Dana no longer automatically believes what she sees around him.
Their reconciliation therefore comes with no easy reset. Dana may be willing to try, but Sonny will have to rebuild trust through consistency rather than another round of promises.
