Home and Away’s Tane successfully lures Beau into a trap, leading to a dramatic police arrest after Beau arrives expecting to meet Harper.
Tane’s dangerous plan finally pays off in Home and Away when Beau walks straight into the trap set using Harper’s phone. After days of fear and frustration, Beau arrives expecting Harper and instead finds Tane and the police waiting for him.
Tane continues messaging Beau while pretending to be Harper, determined to bring him out of hiding. Mali is worried the plan could land Tane in serious trouble, but Tane insists Beau is unlikely to voluntarily walk into the police station.
The messages eventually produce exactly the response Tane wants. Beau agrees to meet who he believes is Harper first thing in the morning, giving Tane a real opportunity to put an end to the uncertainty.
Tane later goes to David and explains his plan. He warns David that he probably will not like the method, but David is prepared to listen because police have so far been unable to locate Beau.
When the meeting finally happens, Beau arrives carrying flowers for Harper. His confidence disappears the moment he sees Tane approaching from the beach and realises he has been deceived.
Beau turns and runs, only to find police vehicles closing off his escape. Tane reaches him first but refuses to react when Beau attempts to provoke him into throwing a punch.
David then officially places Beau under arrest and tells Tane that involving the police was the right decision. He also reassures him that Beau will be going away for a long time, finally giving Harper and Archie some immediate protection.
Before Beau is taken away, Tane makes his own feelings unmistakable. He warns Beau never to go near Harper or Archie again, making clear how seriously he takes protecting them.
The arrest ends Beau’s freedom to keep circling Harper unchecked, but the emotional damage remains. For Tane, however, getting Beau into police custody means the risk he took has finally delivered the outcome he wanted.
