Hollyoaks Ste vanishes as James comes under suspicion
Ste mysteriously disappears during a road trip, leaving his loved ones searching for answers as attention begins turning towards James.
Ste becomes the centre of a worrying new Hollyoaks mystery when he suddenly disappears and leaves his family with no idea where he has gone.
Upcoming scenes initially see Leah trying not to assume the worst when her dad cannot be found. Knowing Ste had been drinking, she wonders whether he could simply be sleeping off his hangover somewhere.
Leela is far less comfortable with that explanation. Her concern quickly grows, and she joins Mercedes as the pair start trying to establish what has happened to him.
Those fears become much harder to dismiss when Ste disappears during the road trip. There is no immediate explanation for where he has gone, leaving everyone around him scrambling to piece together his movements.
With Ste already having struggled emotionally, his sudden disappearance is especially alarming. The people closest to him are left trying to work out whether he has chosen to leave, become unwell or found himself in some other kind of trouble.
Attention also starts shifting towards James. As questions are asked about the circumstances surrounding Ste going missing, James finds himself facing scrutiny from those desperately trying to establish the truth.
There is no suggestion that Ste’s loved ones are prepared to simply wait for him to return. Leela and Mercedes want answers, and the absence of any clear explanation only increases their determination to find him.
The impact is also being felt by Lucas. Memories involving his dad come flooding back and become so intense that he suffers a panic attack, adding another painful dimension to Ste’s disappearance.
Elsewhere, Jonah is concerned about Caleb’s recovery as Caleb and Frankie discuss their plans to travel. Their ambitions sound exciting, but Jonah worries about whether Caleb is physically ready to take such a major step.
The biggest unanswered question, however, remains Ste. With his whereabouts unknown and James now facing questions, Hollyoaks leaves his family confronting the possibility that this may be far more serious than a temporary disappearance.
