Hollyoaks spoilers for 26–28 October as Halloween horror rocks the McQueens

Hollyoaks heads into Halloween with heartbreak, family secrets and a party that ends in disaster, as Dee Dee’s confusing feelings for Abigail threaten to cause fresh problems and a DNA discovery leaves Beth facing worrying questions.

Dee Dee’s secret causes trouble

Dee Dee is caught sneaking in after spending time with Abigail, and her attempt to use Kathleen-Angel as an alibi only makes matters worse. Ant catches Kathleen-Angel lying and is furious with both girls, prompting Tony to ban Dee Dee from her party.

Sienna then walks in on an argument between Dee Dee and Kathleen-Angel and gets the wrong impression, suggesting to Tony that his daughter might be confused about her feelings for Kathleen-Angel. Tony turns to Abigail for advice, while Dee Dee remains preoccupied with her complicated feelings for her teacher.

A birthday message from Diane

Ant, Ro and Dee Dee’s sixteenth birthday brings a touching moment when Tony plays them a voice message recorded by their late mum, Diane. Her words offer the teenagers advice, and Tony relents over Dee Dee’s punishment, allowing her to attend the Halloween party.

Maddox hopes a heartfelt gift will help him reconnect with Dee Dee, but she is still focused on Abigail. With Trina also setting her sights on Maddox, his romantic prospects become more complicated.

The celebrations at The Dog are not entirely happy, either. Sienna and Leela both pine for Tony, while the Hutchinsons’ Halloween party ultimately goes up in flames.

Maddox’s DNA discovery shocks Beth

Maddox receives a DNA match and tells his brother Caleb, who advises him to be honest with Beth. Before Maddox can explain, Beth finds the letter herself and is left frantic.

Dodger and Theresa need Warren’s help

Dodger is searching for Jenson and wonders whether Warren knows something about his disappearance. Theresa also approaches Warren for help, although tensions remain high between her and Dodger as both keep their cards close to their chests.

The search for Ste takes a new turn

A village resident is determined to discover where Ste is being held. Lucas wakes in hospital to find a familiar face in his room, and his visitor plans to contact the police with what she knows about Ste’s disappearance.

Meanwhile, Mercedes continues to give Warren the cold shoulder despite his attempts to repair their relationship.
