Leah is left fighting for her life in upcoming Hollyoaks scenes after a confrontation with Lucas ends with her falling down the steps. As those nearby rush to help, her brother flees and later begs Xander to get him out of the village.
Coming up, James insists he is being framed, and Leah tells Lucas she believes James is innocent. Misbah, Imran and Gemma visit Ste’s family to offer support, with Imran comforting Leah when she takes a breather outside.
The atmosphere is strained as Gemma scowls at Lucas, furious over their shared secret. Leah then hears Lucas admit he is guilty and tells him to stay away from her before falling down the steps.
Frankie rushes from the shop and screams for help as Leah lies unconscious. Misbah and Gemma spring into action, while Lucas runs away from the scene.
Elsewhere, Mercedes contacts Dodger with information about Gemma’s recent crimes with Jenson. When confronted, Jenson claims he is an undercover agent with evidence concerning Ste’s disappearance, but whether Dodger believes his explanation is another question.
Warren misunderstands Dodger’s approach and confesses to sleeping with Gemma. Mercedes also confronts Gemma when she discovers she has not been arrested, while Dodger raises his concerns about her involvement in Ste’s disappearance with Donny.
Jenson later shares voicemails of Gemma admitting crimes involving a cryptocurrency wallet, a tool used to access digital money. Mercedes takes the recordings to the station, where Donny struggles as he and Dodger decide to bring Gemma in.
Misbah continues to support Gemma, despite the gossip circulating at the hospital. Gemma returns to work shortly before the detectives arrive with an arrest warrant, and a chase follows as they close in on her at the hospital.
Meanwhile, Imran confides in Misbah that he still loves Leah. When Leah wakes, he is keeping vigil beside her, while Frankie’s response to the emergency prompts Nancy to suggest she might consider nursing.
