Hollyoaks Mercedes faces deadly danger as Gemma’s plan backfires
Hollyoaks Mercedes is placed in serious danger when Gemma’s sinister plan takes an unexpected turn, leaving Ste and Leela caught in the crossfire.
Mercedes finds herself at the centre of a terrifying new Hollyoaks storyline as Gemma puts a sinister plan into motion, only for Ste and Leela to become unexpected passengers on what could prove to be a deadly journey.
Upcoming scenes see Gemma give Mercedes a spa voucher, apparently providing her with the chance to escape the village for some much-needed relaxation. Mercedes decides to make more of the trip and invites Ste and Leela to join her, completely unaware of what is being organised behind the scenes.
Gemma has secretly arranged for a group of men to follow Mercedes’ car, turning what should have been an ordinary journey into a potentially dangerous situation. Her plan appears to have been focused on Mercedes, meaning the unexpected presence of Ste and Leela immediately complicates matters.
The timing could hardly be worse for Ste. He is already struggling badly following Rex’s death and has returned to drinking as his grief becomes increasingly difficult to control. Rather than getting a break from everything happening in the village, he now finds himself travelling straight into another dangerous situation.
Leela is also dragged into events without any idea of the threat surrounding them. Images from the storyline show Mercedes and Leela inside the car while Ste is also caught up in the dramatic journey, with all three apparently unaware of just how serious the situation has become.
Gemma’s decision to involve outside help also raises the stakes considerably. What began as a plan directed at Mercedes now risks affecting two other people who were never supposed to be there, leaving Gemma with far less control over what happens next.
With Mercedes, Ste and Leela all caught in the same trap, the road trip looks set to become one of the village’s most dangerous journeys in some time. Gemma may have known exactly who she wanted to target, but the addition of two unexpected passengers could change everything.
