Hollyoaks Lucas struggles as Ste’s disappearance causes panic attack
Lucas suffers a frightening panic attack as Ste disappears without a trace and Leela and Mercedes desperately try to work out what happened.
Lucas faces a frightening ordeal in upcoming Hollyoaks scenes as worries surrounding Ste become impossible for him to contain.
Things are already difficult for Lucas when memories connected to his dad begin flooding back. The emotions quickly become overwhelming and he suffers a panic attack, showing just how much everything surrounding Ste has been weighing on him.
The timing could hardly be worse, as concern is also beginning to grow over Ste’s whereabouts. Leah initially hopes there could be a simple explanation and wonders whether her dad is merely sleeping off the effects of his drinking.
Leela is not convinced. She senses that something is wrong and joins Mercedes in trying to work out where Ste has gone, but the situation becomes increasingly worrying when there is no straightforward answer.
Ste then disappears completely during the road trip, leaving those closest to him facing the frightening reality that nobody knows where he is.
His sudden absence inevitably raises questions about what happened beforehand. With Ste already in a vulnerable place, his family and friends are desperate to understand whether he has deliberately gone somewhere or whether something more serious has happened.
James also finds himself drawn into the situation as people begin questioning him. With no sign of Ste and very little information available, those searching for him are forced to examine anything that could help explain his disappearance.
For Lucas, however, the situation is about far more than simply finding answers. The painful memories that surface show the emotional effect Ste’s struggles continue to have on his son, making his panic attack one of the most difficult moments of the episode.
Elsewhere, Jonah has concerns about Caleb as he continues recovering. Caleb and Frankie are looking ahead to travelling together, but Jonah begins questioning whether such ambitious plans are really sensible while Caleb is still getting back on his feet.
As the episode develops, Ste’s disappearance leaves one family desperately searching while Lucas is forced to confront emotions he can no longer keep buried.
