Hollyoaks Leela caught in deadly danger after Mercedes trap

Leela becomes an unintended target in Hollyoaks when a seemingly harmless trip with Mercedes and Ste places her directly in the path of Gemma’s dangerous plan.

Mercedes is given a spa voucher by Gemma and decides to invite Leela and Ste along for the journey. None of them realises that the trip is part of something far more sinister, with Gemma secretly arranging for a group of men to follow Mercedes’ car.

Leela was never supposed to be involved, making her presence an immediate complication. Gemma’s plan appears to have been aimed directly at Mercedes, but the decision to bring friends along means two completely innocent passengers are now caught up in the danger.

For Leela, there is no obvious reason to suspect anything is wrong. She heads off with Mercedes and Ste expecting an ordinary trip away from the village, while the threat developing behind them remains completely hidden.

The situation could also become much harder for Gemma to control. Whatever she originally intended for Mercedes now risks affecting Leela as well, while Ste’s unexpected presence adds another unpredictable element to an already dangerous situation.

Leela has already faced more than enough upheaval in recent years, but this latest crisis comes without warning. She has not deliberately placed herself in the middle of Gemma and Mercedes’ conflict and appears to have simply been in the wrong place at exactly the wrong time.

The three friends are therefore heading into a situation where Mercedes may be the intended target, but there is no guarantee the danger will remain focused on her.

With men following their car and nobody inside apparently aware of what has been arranged, Leela could find herself fighting to escape a plot that was never meant to involve her at all.
